Are you looking to learn DJing for the very first time, or want to grow more in your skills and track selection?

My DJ lessons approaches your skills from an ongoing, holistic perspective - teaching you the basis of DJing, how to mix, help you find your sound and also help ignite your storytelling powers through the art of DJing! <3

DJing is so healing, on so many levels, and the sound frequencies within electronic
music are meant to heal both you and others you share your music with. Music speaks to each of us in unique ways, so we should never suppress what feels best to us when playing the genres that speak most to us. It helps you tap into your creativity and expand in this outlet, which is not only so incredible if you haven't explored this side of yourself yet but it will also help you in so many other areas of your life. Confidence, inner power, battling your demons - you name it, it's a powerful healing tool for everybody, no matter what background you come from or walk of life.

As your teacher, I want to help you shape your sound, tell a story through your mix, trust it to evolve over time and help you connect to your joy. This includes teaching you how to EQ confidently, providing homework, find your sound that lights you up, talk about your goals and what you want to get out of your lessons and more.

Who are your lessons for?

Both new beginners or those who have been DJing but need some guidance, a refresher, etc.
Suitable for all ages, but only for those who want to learn within techno, house, downtempo or electro (or similar).

Unfortunately I do not teach styles outside of electronic music, but if you need guidance on where to find please let me know and I can look for a resource.

When do I teach?

Tuesdays and Thursdays

What does the general schedule look like?

It varies from person to person, but I enjoy teaching in the following format
(and highly recommend following this):

First session: Teaching you solely to BEAT match (the most crucial element before EQ'ing) plus decks basics and homework for you
Second session: Teaching you the basics of EQ'ing (lows, mids, highs)
Third session: Continuing practice of beatmatching, EQing and everything you've been learning
Fourth session: Continue practicing, polishing what you've learned and create a set start to finish for feedback from myself (recorded to take home as well) Plus any additional sessions as needed or as you like :)

Teaching in multiple sessions is important so that you get the full grasp of DJing start to finish, so that you can take it under your own wing once you're done learning from me. If you need any clarifications or have absolutely any questions, you are so welcome to reach out to me.

What is the cost?

On a teaching basis, $500 a month (which equals about $125 for a 1.15 hour basis weekly). You are invoiced at the end of each month and you can end anytime you'd like or when you feel ready to take on DJing as your own.

For consistency purposes, ongoing is better to help you really learn and grow so that you get the most out of teaching.
